Photogrammetry based environment texture of autumn, fallen leaves on the ground. As leafs are same tricky as grass and have a lot of height variations and irregularity, to make sure I won't waste that capture I did really a lot of overlapping. In result I took 378 images in 6000x4000px resolution and used them to reconstruct 55mln highpoly model.
Capture was done in cloudy but calm day and took me over 45 minutes. To show how light affects surface I compared shot before Custom White Balance was set and after. The Custom one has true physical color values, Auto was strongly twisted towards blue.
I think it was time well spent as result was really nice and clean. Even that I used 3 aluminium foil balls to navigate I lost somewhere in the middle and didn't cover entire surface evenly. Fortunately it was still enough to get nice, high quality scan and clean PBR texture at the end.
