Summary
Hi, I’m Grzegorz Baran. I’ve been part of the commercial gaming industry since 2003, contributing across nearly every corner of digital art—from asset creation and environment design to animation and rendering. Over the years, I’ve grown from an aspiring 3D prop artist to leading art direction on major AAA titles.
Today, I focus on what I consider one of the most demanding and influential disciplines in game art: materials. It’s a space where craft meets precision, and I’ve made it my specialty. I currently work at Ubisoft as an Expert Materials Artist, while also running a YouTube channel and mentoring artists worldwide. My goal has always been the same: drive progress, share knowledge, and help shape the future of our industry.
