A material of raked soil I captured while experimenting with the AR400 flash light in tough lighting conditions. Because I used cross polarisation AR400 didnt output enough light to fully overwrite the direct sun. It wasnt bad but I had to delight the material with the 'BLACKS' feature in PhotoLab, but as you can see on the preview image it wasnt really a big deal.
I initially calibrated colors using the Color Checker but as usualy, cross polarisation messed with the luminance levels and I had to correct them later. I plan to share more details about the process in my incoming video about color calibration.
Since I believe that this material can be quite useful as a decent base for vegetation in any farm or garden related scenes, and I like its quality, I have added it to my environments material library
https://gum.co/WJAQy
as 'gb_SoilRaked307'. With this one, the library hit 80 materials mark.
To be honest, I didnt expect it is going to take me so much time to find surface like this one it such clean state :D
Cheers and till the next one :)
