This video is the result of my recent search for the blackest BLACK:
The outcome of this research:
- finding a value we can safly use as a BLACKest color value of PBR materials and textures we create for CG art.
- getting some options for background separation improvement which can be useful for photogrammetry and photometric stereo capures.
- finding if we can set the blackest and more light absorbing substances on fire just by illuminating them with a camera flash light :D
Since I consider these PBR values as quite important for PBR material creation, I added them to my PBR Color Reference List:
